A great project in a great building
Few architects have a building considered truly unique or listed as a reference in its category. This is the case of Beatriz Building of Eleuterio Población Knappe. Considered as the architect of functionality for his love for clean, enduring and austere volumes. Of his extensive legacy – more than 20,000 works – Beatriz Building is considered a model in the architecture of office buildings.
The site where it is located was previously occupied by Monasterio de la Concepción Jerónima that was founded on its first site by the writer Beatriz Galindo, called la Latina, named after her as a tribute. Inaugurated in December 1975, Beatriz Building already belongs to the collective memory of the city and has become an unquestionable icon of Barrio de Salamanca.
